Store Policies 

This online store is owned and managed by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, d/b/a Hexagon Metrology, for the convenience of our USA-based customers. This store will only ship to USA-based addresses.


All pricing and terms of sale on this store are web-exclusive to the USA market and may not be available in other countries or when ordering by phone. Customers in other regions of the world are invited to contact their local Hexagon Metrology office for local options for training, parts and accessories. Please visit www.HexagonMI.com and select your country from the drop-down box to find your local office.


There is no shipping charge for training classes. Physical product sales incur freight costs that are calculated based on the weight of the items purchased. We use FedEx for all store shipments and offer you the following shipping options:

  • Fedex Ground
  • Fedex Express Saver
  • Fedex 2 Day
  • Fedex Priority Overnight

Sales Tax

We do not charge tax on training classes regardless of location. The store charges tax for sales of physical products for shipping addresses in the following states: CA, ID, IL, KS, MI, MN, NY, NC, OH, RI, SC,TN, TX, WA and WI.

Tax Exemptions for Parts Orders

We charge sales tax only in the following states: CA, ID, IL, KS, MI, MN, NY, NC, OH, RI, SC, TN, TX, WA and WI. If your shipping address is in one of these states and you have a valid tax exemption certificate, we cannot offer you tax exempt online ordering at this time. Please call the parts department at 800.761.7711 and place your order by telephone. We will accept credit cards or purchase orders by phone.

Returns/RMA Policy

A notice requesting material to be returned must occur within 30 days of shipment. A return materials authorization number (RMA) will be issued by Hexagon’s parts department and is required prior to material being returned. Material must then be returned within 30 days of issue date. The RMA number must be noted on all paperwork and labels for return. Shipment to Hexagon without an RMA number may be refused.

Material returned for reasons other than quality issues will be subject to a restocking fee of $50 or 10% of the net price, whichever is greater. After 60 days, no product will be accepted for return.

Returned product will be inspected and credit will be issued except where an item is damaged, incomplete, or not in the original packaging. Specials, or non-standard assembled products, are non-returnable.

Cancellation Policy for Training Classes

If you need to change or cancel a class, call our registrar immediately at 800.426.1066.
Confirmed class registrations cancelled with less than 5 full working days prior to the start of the class will be billed 50% of the course fee.
Confirmed class registrants who fail to attend the class will be deemed a no show and billed the full amount of the course or forfeit the online payment.

Site Security

Your credit card transaction is safe. This site uses Secure Site License (SSL) encryption and a major third-party payment processor for credit card transactions. We do not store your credit card number on this site.

Terms of Use of This Site


The Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Customer Community (the "Community") is a family of websites and online services comprised of interactive support ticketing systems, discussion forums, document and information sharing, online learning, e-commerce and other information services, both on publicly accessible pages and via logged-in access.  These services are provided by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies (referred to as “Company”, “we” or “us”). The purpose of this Community is to provide convenient methods of customer service and support, convenient methods of purchasing, information sharing, learning and interaction between Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and the employees of companies that are our customers, prospective customers, suppliers, and partners.   

User’s Acceptance of Terms of Use

These Community Terms of Use ("Terms of Use") shall govern your access, visits and participation in the Community. These Terms of Use are in addition to (and form a part of) the Company Websites Terms of Use and Company Privacy Policy. Individual site and services may additionally have site-specific terms of use, in addition to those set forth here. By registering for a Community account, by using or visiting the Community, you are agreeing to be subject to the Terms of Use. If you do not agree to all of these Terms of Use, do not access, visit or participate in the Community. 


This Community is intended solely for the employees of companies that are customers, prospective customers, suppliers and partners of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use and participate in the Community. If you wish to have a Community account, you must provide current, accurate, and complete company employee contact information about yourself during the account registration process. This includes (but may not be limited to) your name, a company name and address, a company-issued email address, and company phone number, all of which will be verified by us in setting up your account. We do not allow the use of personal email addresses, personal telephone numbers or anonymous registrations on the Community. We further require that you use an email address that is unique to you, and you do not use a shared group or role-based email address (such as info@ or quality@) in registering for the Community. Supplying us with such information will result in delays in verifying or confirming your account, and may result in the registration being denied or removed, at our sole discretion.  

Account Security 

By joining the Community, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms of Use as entered into by and between the Company and you. You acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Community password and account, and you assume all liabilities and responsibilities for any and all activities that occur under your account.

Changes to Your Information

You must maintain and promptly update any contact information related to your account provided to Company in order to keep such information up to date, accurate and complete.  Changes to email addresses, which are also used as account usernames will only be allowed under the following circumstances:

  1. You supplied us upon registration with a non-company email or an email that isn’t unique to you, and we’ve asked you for a different one.  
  2. Your company has changed their email domain because of a change of name or a change of ownership.
  3. Your name has changed.
  4. Your email contains a typographical error for correction. 

If your email address changes because your employment status has changed, see the next section.

Changes to Employment Status 

Many of the services offered by the Community are based upon a contract or other agreement between Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and our customers, and your rights to access or use the services as an employee of a customer must be suspended or removed if you leave the employment of your current company.  You may ask us to suspend your access, your employer may request suspension on your behalf, or we may suspend access upon notification or discovery that you no longer work for your current employer.  Depending on your prior use of the services on behalf of your employer, we may or may not be able to remove your personal information related to your company from our databases. 

If you change jobs and your new employer is also a customer, prospective customer, supplier or partner of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, you may register for a new account on the Community using your new company contact information.  Under no circumstances will we reassign your user account from one unaffiliated company to another.

Processing of Personal Data

What Personal Data will be processed?

In order to register for an account with the Community, we will collect and process your name, address, telephone number, email, credit card number, and your purchasing and browsing history on the Community and other Hexagon-owned websites (collectively your ”Personal Data”). The Personal Data is collected from you directly and not from any other source and is collected for the purposes of maintaining your account properly and for the purposes set out below.

This section on “Processing of Personal Data” outlines the various aspects of the processing of Personal Data that you provide when registering for an account with the Community and what your rights are with respect to such processing. It should be noted that all processing of Personal Data is made in accordance with the GDPR.

Who is responsible for Personal Data?

Hexagon Metrology, Inc., address 250 Circuit Drive, North Kingstown, RI 20852, is the controller of the processing of your Personal Data.  This means that we are responsible for your Personal Data being processed correctly and in accordance with applicable laws.  Contact details of Hexagon Metrology, Inc.’s Privacy Officer are set out under the sub-section “What are your rights?” below.

What are the purposes of processing your Personal Data?

The processing of your Personal Data is necessary for the following purposes:

  1. To create your account;
  2. To associate your information with our information about your employer;
  3. To process and fulfil orders you place via the Community;
  4. To verify credit card transactions (we do not store your credit card information on this site, we use tokenization services to protect your credit card details);
  5. To respond to your enquiries;
  6. To customize products and services we offer to you on the basis of your purchase behavior and the type of business conducted by your employer as well as the number of purchases, abandoned carts, purchasing categories, interests, behavior on the Community and interactions with our digital marketing; and
  7. To send you our newsletter and offers personalized to your interests.

What is the legal basis for processing your Personal Data?

The processing of your Personal Data is based on the fact that the processing is necessary for us to fulfil our obligations under the Terms of Use.  Without processing your Personal Data, we are unfortunately unable to enter into the Terms of Use with you.

Who has access to your Personal Data?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Data against loss or unlawful access etc.  The number of persons with access to your Personal Data is limited.  Only individuals associated with Hexagon Metrology, Inc. that need to process your Personal Data in accordance with the purposes above will have access to your Personal Data.

We will share your Personal Data with companies within the Manufacturing Intelligence division of the Hexagon group for the purpose of selling, marketing, and data analysis.  More information on the relevant division can be found via the following link: https://hexagon.com/our-business/divisions/manufacturing-intelligence.  We will also share your Personal Data with suppliers and partners that carry out services on our behalf (such as suppliers and partners engaged to verify your credit card transactions, calculate taxes and shipping fees, and to fulfil and ship your orders.)

Your Personal Data will be transferred to the United States which is a country outside of EU/EEA which does not have the same protection of Personal Data as applies in the EU/EEA.  The transfer is based on fulfilment of contract and is needed to fulfil transactions you make on this Community.  When transferring Personal Data to countries outside the EU/EEA, Hexagon uses standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission to ensure a sufficient level of protection for your Personal Data.  The standard contractual clauses can be found via the following link: http://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/international-transfers/transfer/index_en.htm.

For how long is your Personal Data stored?

We delete your Personal Data once it is no longer relevant or necessary (e.g. if your account has been inactive for 24 months without making a purchase) or if you withdraw your consent to the processing or as long as required by applicable laws.  With respect to transaction data, it may be stored for a longer period of time to fulfil our obligation for book-keeping and guarantee purposes.

What are your rights?

You are entitled to know what Personal Data we are processing regarding you, and you can request a copy of such data.  You are entitled to have incorrect Personal Data regarding you corrected, and in some cases you may request that we delete your Personal Data (if, for example, the Personal Data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or if you withdraw your consent).  You also have the right to object to certain processing of your Personal Data, and request that the processing of your Personal Data be limited.  Please note that you also have the right to object from receiving directed newsletters (as detailed in item g under the sub-section “What are the purposes of processing your Personal Data?”. Please note that limitation or deletion of your Personal Data may result in us not being able to fulfil our commitments.  You are also entitled to extract your Personal Data in a machine-readable format and to transfer the Personal Data to another controller.

If you have any objections or complaints with the way we process your Personal Data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority, where the applicable laws provide for such remedy.

Company’s Intellectual Property

You should assume that everything you see or read, or is available from download from the Community is protected by copyright unless otherwise noted, and may not be used, reposted or redistributed except as provided herein or with the written permission of company. Unless an express license is stated, nothing posted on this Site grants a license to any company patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyright, knowhow or other intellectual property rights.

Information protected by password or available on a logged-in restricted access portion of the Community is Company’s proprietary information. You may use such information only for the purpose stated in connection with such information and may not disclose Company’s proprietary information to any third party.

Company Use of Material

Do not post on the Site or submit to us via support case any information that you regard as proprietary, is export controlled, or that you intend for us to have limited or restricted rights to access or use. Any communication or material including files that you post on the Site or transmit to company by support case, electronic mail or otherwise, including any data, questions, comments, suggestions or the like, is and will be treated as nonconfidential and nonproprietary, and will be accessible by system users at Company without restrictions.

International Use

Software and other materials available from this Site may be subject to Export Control laws, which prohibit the export of certain technical data and software to certain territories. No software from this Site may be downloaded or exported to any such countries, companies and/or individuals that may be subject to such export restrictions. Company does not authorize the downloading or exportation of any software or technical data from this Site to any jurisdiction prohibited by the Export Laws.

Code of User Conduct and Permitted Use of Communication Services within the Community

You must abide by the following rules of conduct for areas of the Community where you are contributing content that is seen by other members of the community or the public:

The Services may include e-mail services, bulletin board services, chat areas, news groups, forums, communities and/or other message or communication facilities designed to enable you to communicate with others (each a "Communication Service" and collectively "Communication Services"). You agree to use the Communication Services only to post, send and receive messages and material that are proper and, when applicable, related to the particular Communication Service. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that you will not use the Communication Services to conduct any survey, contest, pyramid scheme, or use the site in connection with any chain letter, junk email, spamming or any duplicative or unsolicited messages (commercial or otherwise). You may not advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services for any business purpose, unless Terms of Use posted in connection with such Communication Services specifically allows such use, or use the Communications Services to harvest, download, copy or otherwise collect information about others, including e-mail addresses. You may not use the Communications Services to defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights of others or otherwise restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Communication Services. You agree not to publish, post, upload or otherwise make available any inappropriate, profane, defamatory, obscene, indecent or unlawful material or information or any files that contain images, photographs, software or other material protected by rights of privacy or publicity or intellectual property rights, including, by way of example, and not as limitation, copyright or trademark, unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents from the owner of those rights. You also agree not to upload files that contain viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer.

COMPANY has no obligation to monitor the discussion areas of the Communication Services. However, COMPANY reserves the right to review materials posted to the Communication Services and to remove any materials in its sole discretion. COMPANY reserves the right to terminate your access to any or all of the Communication Services at any time, without notice, for any reason whatsoever.

Site Security and Use of Materials

You are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Site. You are also prohibited from downloading any software or information for which COMPANY charges a license fee unless you pay the fee. This prohibition applies whether or not technology measures are used to restrict downloading. You shall have no license to use any such software or information and your use of such software or information may be a violation of COMPANY's intellectual property rights. Further, any license to any software or information obtained through the Site prohibits use of software or information obtained through the site with any bootleg, counterfeit or other software or information that violates COMPANY's intellectual property rights.

Except where otherwise stated, the trademarks and logos, displayed on the Site are registered and common law trademarks of COMPANY and may not be used or reproduced without the written permission of COMPANY.  This entire site is protected by Copyright, and my not be used or reproduced in any way without COMPANY's written permission.

Termination and Changes

COMPANY reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Site (or any part thereof) and/or to terminate any rights to use the Site or information, software or items obtained through the Site, for any reason. You agree that COMPANY shall not be liable to you for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Site.  COMPANY is not obligated to keep this website updated.
