Quick Overview

This instructor-led course, held at Hexagon Metrology Precision Centers, is an instructor led PC-DMIS course which teaches the student how to use PC-DMIS Vision.

Objectives: This course will give first time users of PC-DMIS a basic understanding of the software and measurements necessary to write and execute inspection plans using PC-DMIS Vision.  Students will learn basic vision concepts such as illumination and magnification, detail both 2D and 3D alignments using a vision machine, and tactile probing including cross sensor calibration   Students will also learn how to program off a CAD model using auto features and collision detection.

Course Format: Instructor-led classroom course held at a Hexagon Metrology Training Center.

Course Length: 5 days.  This course is taught Monday-Friday. After enrollment, reserve your seat by choosing a session location and date.

Audience: This course is for PRO, CAD and CAD++ users with vision measuring machines.    

Required Prerequisite:

  • Classroom Courses > 100 - Level 1 > Vision > PC-DMIS for Vision 100 Administration > Pre-Course Evaluation lesson (free course)

Suggested Prerequisites: 

  • Basic Knowledge of PC's in the Windows Environment
